As a stylist whenever I am asked for style advice, I always tell people to use accessories – even the simplest and most basic of outfits can be made better and dressier with the right accessories. (Although I do tell people to not overdo it). The type of bag you carry, the headband on your head, shoes – even tiny details like nail art can make a style statement.

Lounging at the airport – #OOTD
My father is a retired pilot, and is always very insistent that I reach airports early to catch my flights. This was one of those mornings – very early mornings. I was leaving my Kolkata home to come back to my Mumbai one and like always, my flight was at some absurd time in the morning. On reaching the airport I had a good two hours to spare. So this is what I spent my time on…a good book and coffee.
COCKTAIL OF THE WEEK: LONG ISLAND ICED TEA #DOTW
With my earlier posts you may have realised that if I wasn’t a fashion stylist, you would have found me behind the bar counter, handing out drinks while chugging a few down myself. (Minus the skilled juggling of course since I am prone to clumsiness.)
My this week’s cocktail post began with me wondering – does one put actual tea in a LIT? Apparently no, when you check the recipes on the internet but I wanted to twist up this classic cocktail a bit. My favourite LIT is the one made in the TGIF in Mumbai. However, the bartender was very secretive and refused to give me his recipe. So I mentally put him on my hit list and moved on to making my own favourite LIT.
