Shopping Bag: ‘All My Money Goes to #Zara’

I end up shopping Zara’s sales pretty much every year. Last time I picked up these printed trousers for 10 bucks and was pretty pleased with myself.

I just missed the sale when I picked up this houndstooth dress I raved about in my workwear post. But then I did my bit to clear out their previous seasons stocks.

Item 1: Denim Shirt with Military Details

I realised how much I wear my denim shirt and decided its about time I got another one. This one in the darker wash was perfect (I am honestly still unsure about the military details part – where is it? Never mind). Now I can’t wait for summer – already have about thirty outfits in mind!

Item 2: Culotte Trousers

Finally! I have wanted culottes in this camel shade for quite sometime now. (I saw this lady wearing white ones and decided I would not be able to pull that off but camel was definitely workable). I have no idea (at least not yet) how I am going to pull this off but I am sure going to try. If you don’t see me wearing it on the blog, know that I have decided I look too ridiculous (there is a certain amount of ridiculous thats acceptable) and chickened out.

Item 3 and 4: Strappy Top and Trousers

If you say a red strappy top and red track pants set seem to be slightly unnecessary, I will agree. But isn’t this just perfectly ordinary and absurd at the same time? Definitely the kind of outfit I like! Warning: the colour is more rust than bright red, which I admit bothered me quite a bit but I still couldn’t resist.

Item 5: Animal Print Loafers

Announcement: this is the first animal print anything item I own. I finally succumbed.

I first saw these flats in Primark and then in Bershka, where I did not find my size. Finally found them on sale on Zara and snatched them up!

This is me in the Zara trial room trying on my current dream dress. I don’t know how but I managed to make a leather dress look frumpy. Zara needs to start making clothes for people shorter than 6 feet and non-super models.

So, did you shop the Zara sale? (Its still on by the way!)

And if you missed our previous Shopping Bag posts, catch up!
